Probleme mit der Grafik - wahrscheinlich DirectX

Seit einiger zeit habe ich probleme mit der Grafik meines PCs..
Unter Windows und den meisten Programmen sind keine Grafikfehler aufgetaucht, aber als ich Die Sims 1 und Tropico (nicht lachen - sind beides tolle Spiele zum Zeitvertreib) spielen wollte, entstanden plötzlich komische grafikfehler, bei dem
1. das bild ins obere drittel gestaucht wurde
2. das bild 5mal oder noch öfterseitwärts um ein paar centimenter übereinander gelegt wurde...
Beide Spiele waren somit nicht spielbar... unter Windows ist beim minimieren aber schon wieder alles normal.

Ich habe durch einfaches auswechseln schon ausschließen können, dass es an der grafikkarte oder am bildschirm liegt, die beide übrigens die meines wissens aktuellsten treiber haben.
Allerdings treten die selben Probleme auch bei den DIRECTDRAW und DIRECT3D-TESTS von DirectX auf... vor allem bei Direct3d...
ich habe DIRECTX auch schon aktualisiert. mit tools deinstalliert und ältere versionen ausprobiert, aber nichts hilft. sogar ganz alte images von drive image, wo ich grade windows neu installiert hatte, weisen das selbe problem auf...
DirectX sagt sogar ich solle directx erneut instalieren, aber das ändert gar nichts und außerdem sagt directx mir, dass gewisse keys in der registry fehlen.

Ich bin bei dem Problem irgendwie ratlos, weil scheinbar nichts hilft oder ich einfach zu dumm bin

Hi

sollte es wirklich DirectX sein, solltest du es deinstallieren und neuinstallieren.
Da das Deinstallieren aber nicht ohne größere Probleme geht, brauchst du ein Programm: DirectX Buster. Dies funktioniert aber nur eingeschränkt bei DirectX 9.
Auf dieser Seite ist auch der Link zum aktuellen DirectX angegeben.

Obwohl, du hast "nur" DirectX 8.1 drauf. Da müßte eigentlich die Installation vom 9er auch ausreichen. Somit mußt du vorher nichts deinstallieren.

das tolle ist ja, dass ich eigentlich alles schon ausprobiert habe....
ich habe bestimmt schon 10mal deinstalliert mit einem programm, dass directX Happy Uninstall heißt... dann immer wieder installiert. sowohl mit 8.1 versucht und auch mit 9.0c - sowohl sofort als auch nachträglich über die 8.1....

das alles hilft nichts. er sagt ja immernoch, dass es irgendwie fehlerhaft ist...

Wie hast du denn Directx deinstalliert? Windows ME hat eine Systemwiederherstellung, die das Fehlen von DirectX selbst korrigieren dürfte. Daher im Abgesicherten Modus mal deinstallieren und neustarten. Danach gleich das 9er drauf.
